If a person has been convicted of an offense related to driving while intoxicated the Illinois Secretary of States Office will often revoke that person's driving privileges. This, of course, dramatically curtails the ability to get to work, attend school or receive medical treatment. The only way to have your driving privileges reinstated is to personally appear at an administrative hearing at the Secretary of States Office. This process involves filing the proper pleadings and obtaining a hearing before a hearing officer. This is a very specialized area of law. Fawell & Associates has been appearing before the Illinois Secretary of State Office in these type of hearings for years. We have a very high rate of getting driving privileges reinstated. The key to our success is two fold: experience and preparation. Having been through the process with hundreds of clients we know what to expect. Prior to the hearing we spend a great deal of time making certain that the application is correct, all your supporting documents are in order and we review your testimony. While all this effort does consume a great deal of time, we have learned that it is the best way to insure success.
